Our Pastor

Rev. Dr. Michael Adedokun
Rev. Dr. Michael Adedokun was born and raised in Nigeria. Shortly prior to leaving high school, he personally encountered the Lord Jesus Christ, after which he answered the call to the ministry. Following his seminary education at Immanuel College of Theology in Ibadan, Nigeria, he was ordained in 1994 as an Elder in the United Methodist Church in Nigeria, after which he served as Pastor in some local churches.
Dr. Michael Adedokun pursued higher theological studies at the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom, and Southern Methodist University's Perkins School of Theology in Dallas, TX, earning the Masters and Doctorate degrees in Divinity, with emphasis on Pastoral Care and Moral Theology.
Having been in the United States since 2002, Pastor Michael, as he is fondly called, has integrated well into the system and calls the United States his home. Prior to coming to this appointment, he has served as Pastor in several United Methodist Churches and as hospital Chaplain. He is happily married to Shola Adedokun, a Career Nurse, and they are blessed with four Godly children - Joy (25), Victory (22), Phillip (19), and Enoch (16).
When he is not at the pulpit, Pastor Michael enjoys time with the family, walking, staying informed, traveling, and meeting new people. He has a strong passion for prayer, community outreach, children and youth ministry, pastoral visitation, and communication with church members. His favorite scriptural verse is, "Christ in you, the hope of glory" (Col.1:27).
